#46 - Thunder Over Louisville Choreography Review, and Motivating Words From Demotivated Designers
Thunder Over Louisville is one of the "must see" shows in the United States. It's also a perfect example of the caliber of pyro show (in setting, layout, and design) that exists somewhere between the traditional shell show and the full-fledged competition grade pyromusical.
AJ and Bo are competition hobbyist pyromusical show designers, and in this episode they share their thoughts and opinions on the show and the choreography in this Kentucky legend...Thunder Over Louisville 2024.

Hi there, I actually work for Zambelli Fireworks and I worked on Thunder. I’m actually the lead tech for all the low level, prox and built out everything for the bridge. To answer a few questions you have- we had 3”- 12” shells, the majority being 4” and 5”. We run fire one. We started on the barges one week before the show, the display boards we started building about 3 weeks prior.

Don’t feel bad I’m having a little trouble figuring it all out too. But I know I will. Because I’m a man and I can change if I have to I guess.🤣
